Austin bachelorette party custom shirt guide
Posted by Aliens of Brooklyn on
East 6th runs on parties. A good share of them come through our door at 1630 E 6th St #104 wanting the same shirt for twelve people by Saturday night. This is the guide we wish everyone read before they messaged us.
Start with one image
The best bachelorette shirts have one thing on them: a photo of the bride from 2009, the groom's face, a line from the group chat. Not a collage. Not eight fonts. Pick the one everyone already laughs at and send it to aliensofbrooklyn@gmail.com or through the request form so we can check it prints sharp.
We print your own photos and artwork; we cannot print logos, brand marks or artist merch designs. Leave the song lyrics out of it.
The bride's shirt
Make it different. A different color tee, the same photo with a different word, or the only shirt with the groom on it. It reads from across the bar and it makes the photos work. We print it in the same batch.
How many, and what sizes
Unisex garment-dyed tees run S to 3XL. Mixed sizes in one order are fine; list every size when you send the request. The earlier we know the count, the more likely everyone gets their size, since stock on the floor changes day to day.
What it costs
Tees start at $45, totes at $35 and sweatshirts and hoodies at $65, blank included. A group of ten in tees is about $450 before any extras. We confirm the exact number by email or at the counter before anything goes on a press, and you pay in store when you collect.
Add caps and crop tops
Shirts aren't the only group move. Austin's best sellers work for parties too:
- Word caps, $35. Black, faded grey or light pink, with a word stitched on as a patch. The menu already has Pink Pony Club, Sapphic Tendencies, Wine Slut, Slay and Cool Slutty Daddy. Same word for the group, a different one for the bride. Caps take about a week, so order them early. Shop word caps
- Crop top baby tees, $42. DUMP HIM, DOLLY, Heated Hockey and Y'all Poor Kris, XS to 2XL, in stock. Shop crop tops
When to order shirts
- The day before: comfortable. Blanks pulled, art checked, you walk in and collect.
- The morning of: usually fine for a small group. Ask.
- An hour before dinner: a gamble. We'll tell you right away whether it's doable.
Timing is quoted per order, at the counter or by email, before anything goes on a press.
Light or dark shirts?
Photos show best on light garments. Bold text works on dark. If the plan is a group photo at night, light shirts win.
Totes, hoodies and the morning after
Canvas totes take the same print and make a cheap favor for the whole group. Hoodies are the move for a cold weekend or a river float that runs late. Same process, same request form.
The fine print
No minimum, so two shirts is fine. Custom pieces are final sale. If something is damaged, email a photo. If the party is in New York instead, the East Village shop does the same thing in under 30 minutes: bachelor and bachelorette shirts in NYC.
