Every word on the hat menu (and how to get yours)
Posted by Aliens of Brooklyn on
Every custom word cap and beanie we make starts with the same question at the counter: what does it say? Here is the whole menu as it stands this fall, grouped the way people actually shop it, plus how to get a word that is not on it. All of these are stitched as patches in our East Village shop and made to order, one size, adults and kids from about age 6.
The house favorites
PAPI, NOPE, DADDY and PUTA. These four have their own embroidered caps as well as the patch version, and they are the ones people buy for someone else and then come back and buy for themselves.
For the pet parents
- Cat mom
- Cat dad
- Dog mom
- Dog dad
The single most common gift order we take. If the dog's actual name is what you want, see the custom word note at the bottom.
For the mood
- Anxiety
- Dead inside
- Seasonal depression
- Am I the drama?
- Nope
For the snack
- Chicken nugget
- Spicy nugget
- Gluten free
- Wine slut
For the hometown
- Brooklyn
- New York
Austin, we hear you. Ask at 1630 E 6th St and we will make it.
For the ones your mother pretends not to read
- Daddy
- Cool slutty daddy
- Papi
- Puta
- Cunt
- Don't be a dick
- Fuck around and find out
For the girls, the gays and the theys
- Pink Pony Club
- Sapphic Tendencies
- Slay
- These Gays (as a celeb beanie)
Your own word
Pick "Custom word" on any word beanie, or email aliensofbrooklyn@gmail.com before you order a cap, and tell us the word. One or two short words fit best on a cap patch; beanies take a little more. We will tell you if it will not fit, and we will tell you if we will not make it. Both happen.
How long it takes
Made to order means about 5 to 7 days to make before it ships. If you need it tonight, walk into 304 E 5th St in the East Village or 1630 E 6th St #104 in East Austin and pick from what is on the wall, or have a tee, hoodie or tote printed while you wait.
Shopping for more than one person? Start with the gifts by word collection. Keep it weird.
